Raspberry Pi Live Stream Server
1:20 PMIn this tutorial, I'm going to show you how to make a live stream server with your Raspberry Pi. At the end of this post, there is a YouTube tutorial with detailed instructions on how to set up this server. This tutorial uses a program called Motion. The wiki for Motion is here:
Motion has many features including:
- A MJPEG (Motion JPEG) Live Stream from a webcam- MJPEG is supported by most modern browsers unlike H.264 streams that you need plugins to view.
- Detect Motion- Motion can see the difference between things like a fan moving and a person walking.
- Store video only when motion has been detected.
